I never believed that strange concepts like Ghosts, vampires, hell etc. existed until i started working! Damn.... Mornings that are considered to infuse new life and rejuvenate people, make me a dead man. My soul rests at home, and body rusts in office! I wonder why offices dont get convicted for the crime of genocide, but as we say there is no room for justice in Kalyuga, innocents like us serve the sentence. Amidst hundreds of Geeks and Nerds serving the sentence along with me, strange thoughts run through my mind...Some prisoners are innocent like me, while others are "professional" rogues, found mostly in higher management cells! Ijust fail to relate anyone with my life or my friends, it feels they were born as employees...Matured, professionals and so irritating...There is no child side to any of them, here I remeber what a very dear friend of mine always say, "what is the point of growing old when you can not be childish at times..." We often confuse the difference between being 'childish' and being 'kiddish' and thats why end up drying our lives. Anyways coming back to where I was, my office life-We have a 10 hour shift & no one better than my arse can explain how painful it is to sit for 10 hours in a place like office! Eyes that were wide open in the morning when I was watching Katreena Kaif on MTv while i was waiting for cab suddenly droop down as soon as mtv gets replaced with fileserver on office intranet. Mouth that was drooling at the sight of our colony bombshell standing at the Bus-stop with the fresh after-bath look, starts yawning in the office as if I have not slept since ages! Tea, Coffee, Chewing gums everything surrender in front of influence of strong sedative termed as Work! I can proudly say I am a workaholic, work acts as an alcohol on me. Languorous feel intoxicates me as if i have eaten belly-full with a full size glass of lassi on a hot afternoon. I appreciate goverment officials so much more now, they are so real, unlike us they are not fake, they sleep shamelessly and explicitly when they feel like. Finally day breaks at six in the evening when I get out of the office, smell the fresh air and take a sigh of relief, thinking that life has changed, time that has passed will not be re-lived. Only thing I can do is cherish the sweet memories of past...no use cribbing man...K Sera Sera....

ReplyDeletei no u were not expecting my comment but yes after reading to what you have written forces me to write....
our lives are glass half filled with water and it depends on you how you see it...
People will be bad and good but you should have the determination to handle them all. you talked about bad seniors, its gud you identified them bad and now its your responsibility that when you reached at that level you make sure that you dont commit same mistakes, that will make us a good managers. try to look at the positive side of what you call bad. their is always a better site to watch.....
you talked about 10 hours long life in office and few hours travelling..so approximately you spend 50% of day for your office....so i again suggest you to choose again...fun or crip... you can do both ....i know you personally and i know you will love to have fun...so take the initiative to make the environment healthy and lite.. pj kahan gaye tere yaar... beleive me people will love them...according to me environment is you and your attitude....so make it fun when you are not working in office..in a 2 minute breake , coffee break, water break and even in lunch...and beleive me these small moment will change your life dramatically...
i no you would be thinking kehna aasan hai par kuch muskil kam to karne hi padte hai...hena... :)
with this small note (which is not looking small now), i just want to convey try to live life to te fullest and that includes your 50% life spend in office too..
