Reserving Vs. Deserving...
Goshhhh.. I fail to understand what's happenning around us... Every sect in the society needs a reservation, we are well aware of the chaos created by Gujjars recently that brought cities to a standstill... I mean y?? and our humble/saint goverment has given them 5% reservation... If this kind of situation persists, no sooner we will need reservations for general candidates too! Why cant we keep "below poverty line" as the criteria for reservation if our motive is really the upliftment and emancipation of deprived... gujjars call themselves a minority, as far as my understanding goes, that section of society, which has a miniscule proportion of entire population is termed a minority, if this is the case with gujjars then how come handfull of people were able to paralyze our country? What is the need to give reservations on the basis of caste? Instead of stopping and punishing for the nuisance that they created, we have rewarded them with 5% reservation... now everybody who wants something, no matter how illogical and unjustified is, can come up, vandalize public property, harass general public and take what he wants, at the cost of society... Its a sad moment, victory of a caste, over our so called.... secular Nation! huh!

its been a high time that we have reviewed our reservatioin policy. The mandal commission which was implemented in the late 1970s has become much outdated. The fundamental problem in India has been caste based discrimination. Now such a time has come such that the people who got benefitted from the reservation policy continue to get benefitted and the people who got left out are still neglected.
ReplyDeleteThe Solution that I propose is that a legislation should be passed which mandates that a the sons/daughters of a person who got the benefit of reservation should be by default come in the GENERAL category. Only then the caste system come to an end in INDIA
